Ashton Park

We are lucky to use the beautiful lake in Ashton Park, West Kirby. It makes for challenging sailing conditions with very variable wind but is a lovely and fun place to sail. Our boats are a well loved feature of Ashton Park’s open days and events

Ashton Park was established in the early 1900’s and remains a beautiful oasis with a strong Friends Group doing vital fund raising and maintenance work. The park has received the coveted Green Flag award for many years.

Ashton Park in West Kirby is a venue where the club has been made welcome for decades. While the wind can be fickle for yachts it provides a real challenge for all sailors.

Tugs made by members compete in towing competitions and a wide variety of other craft can be sailed on the lake. All must be electric powered to prevent polution
